Hey there!
I’m Gilbert — but you can call me Kaleb. I’m a coffee-loving Gryffindor, dog parent, and your go-to VA
I started my career in 2020 as a Claims Analyst in the BPO industry, working on a healthcare account during the pandemic. My role focused on handling high-value and critical cases like claim denials, coordination of benefits, and eligibility verification, which really helped me develop strong attention to detail and time management while working independently.
In 2023, I transitioned into full-time virtual work with a direct client. I was initially hired as a Route Specialist for a logistics company, but over time my role expanded and I was reprofiled into Sales and Admin Support for one of their partner companies, CareerLearning. CareerLearning is an e-learning platform that offers certifications and webinars for professionals.
In that role, I handled Zendesk tickets, emails, chats, and sales outreach. I also supported the sales team by updating reports and dashboards, monitoring commissions, tracking high-value leads, and helping with upsell recommendations. Because I became very familiar with the products and workflows, I was promoted to Product Specialist and worked closely with the Senior VP of Product. I supported her with presenter coordination, calendar management, budget tracking, topic research, marketing campaigns, and recruiting presenters.
From there, I was promoted to Brand Manager and then Senior Brand Manager. Along the way, I handled topic creation, presenter coordination, marketing collaboration, and eventually helped train other Brand Managers on product management, product marketing, and using data to make better decisions.
Most recently, I’ve been working as a full-time Virtual Assistant for Ready Set Group, a logistics company. I support marketing, operations, and sales, including lead generation, appointment setting, website updates, and client onboarding. I helped book around 20 consultations, with several converting into onboarded clients.
On the side, I also support an aesthetic and medspa business on weekends, helping with admin and sales tasks like replying to patient messages, confirming and rescheduling appointments in Boulevard, booking consultations, and assisting with sales outreach and email marketing.
Overall, I have about five years of remote work experience across healthcare, ecommerce, logistics, and medspa industries. I’m very comfortable supporting executives, managing multiple priorities, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.
